Police are on scene at a fatal helicopter crash that occurred north of Cloncurry this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 7.15am, police and emergency services were called to a property on Sedan Dip Road near Cloncurry when a helicopter appears to have struck power lines and crashed into a paddock field.
The helicopter appears to have caught fire and the male pilot and sole occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The fire has since been extinguished.
The Forensic Crash Unit is at the scene and are conducting investigations in coordination with other agencies.
Investigations are continuing. There is no further information available at this stage.
