At 5:00pm on Monday 21/11/16 Tasmania Police Search and Rescue were notified of an injured walker at Louisa River on the South Coast walking track. The 52 year Newtown man had suffered a lower leg injury and mad a satellite phone call for assistance, Tasmania Police say.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated and was able to land near Loiusa River before flying the man to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
