Detectives from Taskforce Echo have today charged a Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) prospect as part of an investigation into a road rage.
With assistance from South Melbourne uniform members, a search warrant was executed at a residential address in East Bentleigh earlier today.
A 38-year-old East Bentleigh man has since been charged with criminal damage and public display of prohibited insignia.
The man was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 8 February, 2027.
A Hells Angels prospect vest and a Hells Angels hooded jumper were seized from the address.
The charges follow an incident where an 18-year-old woman was driving along Dandenong Road in Murrumbeena around 11pm on Monday, 17 August.
Detectives will allege she was then cut off and forced to stop by the vehicle being driven by the East Bentleigh man.
He exited his vehicle and allegedly verbally abused the woman, before punching the passenger side mirror on her vehicle, causing it to fall off.
The incident was captured on dashcam footage, and the man was allegedly wearing a Hells Angels prospect vest with a Hells Angels hooded jumper underneath at the time.
The woman wasn't physically injured during the incident.
