Help Break Down Access And Inclusion Barriers

We're seeking local community members with lived experience of disability, as well as representatives from agencies or organisations with expertise in Disability Access and Inclusion. Your input and advice will help us address key access and inclusion issues and make Bayside a better place for everyone.

Expressions of interest to join the Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee are now open until 24 December 2025.

The Committee consists of an elected Councillor and up to 10 community members with lived experience of disability. It may also include representatives from agencies or organisations with expertise in providing Disability Access and Inclusion services in Bayside.

There are currently two vacant positions, offering a great opportunity to further diversify the Committee's membership. This is a two-year appointment.

The Advisory Committee meets at least 3 to 4 times a year to provide advice and meaningful input to Council on projects and programs. Its focus is on Council's 4-year Health and Inclusion Plan, particularly areas such as the physical and built environment, community participation, and employment.
