High range drink driving charge in Brisbane, QLD

Police have charged a man with drink driving after an incident in the city overnight., Queensland Police say

It will be alleged at 5.30am this morning police were called to a vehicle stopped at a green light on Wickham Street at the intersection of Brunswick Street where the driver of the vehicle appeared to be asleep at the wheel.

It will be further alleged that police attended and located a man asleep in a stationary vehicle with the motor running.

A 37-year-old West End man has been charged with one count of driving under the influence of liquor after he allegedly returned a breath alcohol concentration of 0.222 percent.

He is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 25
