With school holidays upon us, officers from the Calliope Road Policing Unit are advising people to slow down and consider others after two drivers were caught travelling well in excess of the 100km/h speed limit on the Bruce Highway, near Gladstone last night, Queensland Police say.
The drivers of the vehicles were detected within a 10 minute time frame and face penalties which include a $1,137 fine and 6 month loss of licence.
Police encourage anyone who witnesses driving behaviour such as this to report it to 13HOON.
