High-tempo Leadership Recognised

RAAF

Serving in one of Air Force's busiest movements sections - 13 Squadron's Movements Section - Flight Sergeant Matthew Procter led with authenticity and a strong commitment to his people.

It was this leadership that enabled the section to perform under pressure while supporting broader Air Force strategic outcomes and what also led to him receiving a silver commendation for excellent achievement as the section's Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Operations.

He routinely stepped into the role of Acting Warrant Officer in Charge Air Movements, where he built trusted relationships with government agencies and strengthened stakeholder engagement. His efforts contributed to strong audit results and sustained regulatory compliance.

Flight Sergeant Procter's operational foresight also supported major exercises and operations during high-tempo periods.

Commanding Officer 24 Squadron Wing Commander Craig Keane congratulated Flight Sergeant Procter on his achievement.

"Flight Sergeant Procter's proactive and highly regarded work at 13 Squadron has demonstrated his ability to deliver results while building strong, cohesive teams," Wing Commander Keane said.

"He brings a wealth of experience, exceptional professionalism and proven leadership, underpinned by a genuine commitment to people. I am confident his expertise will place 24 Squadron and the Air Movements team in a strong position for a demanding year ahead."

Air Vice-Marshal Martin Nussio presented the commendation to Flight Sergeant Procter in the presence of his friends and family.
