Police are investigating a home invasion in Sydney's south west.
About 11pm yesterday (Saturday 30 August 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a home invasion in McCredie Road, Guildford West.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command established a crime scene and were informed that two men wearing face coverings forced entry through the front door of the home.
A 41-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman residing at the premises were assaulted and stabbed multiple times.
Also in the home were three children aged under 10 who were not injured.
The two men fled the scene when neighbours intervened.
The men were seen to enter a white sedan parked out the front of the home that was driven by a third person south along Lomond Street.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man and woman where they were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The incident is believed to be a case of mistaken identity.
