Home invasion in Ingleburn

Police are investigating a home invasion which occurred in Sydney’s south west overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 11pm yesterday, police were called to a home on Redfern Street, Ingleburn, after reports two men forced their way inside.

A man and a woman were inside the home at the time.

A 33-year-old man was assaulted by the two men, who stole property from the home before leaving.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for a laceration to the back of his head before being taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition.

The woman was not injured.

A crime scene has been established and officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
