Home invasion in Londonderry

Inquiries are underway after a man was injured in a home invasion at Londonderry today, NSW Police say.

About 12.30am tomorrow, two men forced their way into a home on Reynolds Road. The men were armed with an axe and a baseball bat.

A 44-year-old male resident was assaulted, receiving minor facial injuries. Two other residents, a female in her early 20s and a man in his mid 40s were uninjured.

Police were contacted about the incident at 4am.

The 44-year-old man was treated on scene by Ambulance Paramedics. He is now speaking with detectives from Penrith Local Area Command.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are continuing. Police believe the incident is targeted.
