Home invasion - Lavington

An investigation is underway after a home invasion near Albury earlier this week.

About 2am on Tuesday 12 January 2020, police were called to Daly Street, Lavington, following reports four men had forced entry into a home.

Police have been told a 19-year-old woman and 17-year-old boy were home when the rear door was kicked in, and four men armed with machetes and knives entered.

The teen was threatened with a knife, before the men stole cash, mobile phones and a white Holden Astra and fled.

He was not physically injured as a result.

Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.

Detectives have commenced an investigation and would like to speak to anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident.
