Police are investigating a home invasion in Sydney's north west.
About 1.10am today (Saturday 13 September 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a home invasion on Madeleine Place, Sackville.
Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command were told that about 12.30am today, a 48-year-old male occupant was awoken by four men inside a bedroom.
The four males were wearing balaclavas and armed with machetes.
The occupant was taken to the rear yard of the home, where he and a 22-yeear-old man were locked in a self-contained unit on the property.
Both men were able to exit the unit about 40 minutes later, by which time the four males had left the location.
There were no reports of injuries to any person.
Police established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, police are assessing if the incident was a case of mistaken identity.
