Home not the final destination for Cranbourne East drink driver

A Cranbourne East drink driver had one more stop on his journey after being picked up outside his home by police earlier this morning, Victoria Police say.

A member of the public spotted the 4WD being driven erratically Linsell Boulevard about 1.30am.

The concerned witness contacted police and followed the vehicle to a house in the same street.

Endeavour Hills police arrived at the address as the 4WD was pulling into the driveway.

Police members spoke to the 40-year-old Cranbourne East man, who returned a positive preliminary breath test.

The man was taken to Narre Warren Police Station where an evidentiary breath test was conducted and the man recorded a result of 0.316 per cent.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving related offences.
