Hoon drivers arrested in Pakenham

Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol officers have arrested two men after hoon activity in Pakenham last night.

Police air wing officers observed the hoon activity on Southeast Boulevard on Wednesday 29 December just before 11pm and alerted highway patrol and general duties officers on the ground.

It's alleged two vehicles, a white Holden Commodore Clubsport sedan and a white Holden Commodore station wagon, were performing burnouts and high-risk driving behaviour in close proximity to pedestrians and other motorists.

The driver of the sedan, a 20-year-old Cranbourne man and the driver of the station wagon, a 26-year-old Ascot Vale man, were arrested at the scene.

They are each expected to be charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous and other driving offences. The vehicles were also seized.
