Horse Unlawfully Killed, South Ripley

Detectives from Rural and Stock Crime Squad are appealing for public assistance in relation to the unlawful killing of a horse in South Ripley last month.

The pregnant palomino mare was located by its owner deceased with a gunshot wound in the paddock of a rural property on Ripley Road.

Initial investigations indicate the horse was shot by an unknown person/s sometime in the early hours of Saturday, October 25.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or has information about the incident to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
