Investigations are underway after a house was destroyed by fire at Hazelbrook this morning, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to Mount View Avenue, Hazelbrook, shortly after 4am tomorrow, and found the single-storey brick home well alight.
A man who lived in the home was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment for the effects of smoke inhalation.
A crime scene has been established and detectives from the Blue Mountains Local Area Command are investigating.
A canvass of the other residents in the street is now underway.
The cause of the fire is unknown and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
