House destroyed by fire at Wollongong

Police are investigating after a home was destroyed by fire near Wollongong overnight.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Mangerton Road, Mangerton, about 12.30am today (Wednesday 16 November 2022), following reports of a domestic-related incident.

Soon after, emergency services received calls of a house fire at the same unit.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the home was destroyed.

There are no reports of injury.

Officers attached to Wollongong Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
