Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command are investigating a fire which destroyed a house at Bidwill overnight, NSW Police say.
About 10.45pm yesterday, emergency services were called to Lindley Square, Bidwill, where they found the home well-alight.
Fire-fighters from Fire & Rescue NSW contained the fire to the one building; however, the house was destroyed. The building is owned by Housing NSW; it was vacant at the time.
An investigation is underway involving specialist fire investigators and officers from NSWPF’s Forensic Services Group, to determine the cause of the fire.
Until the cause is confirmed, the fire is being treated as suspicious.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
