Police will return to a property at Eagleby today to try and determine the cause of a fire that resulted in substantial damage to a residence overnight, Queensland Police say.
Around 9.45pm neighbours to the Herses Road property observed a fire in the residence and called emergency services.
The fire was extinguished by emergency services but caused substantial structural damage to a third of the ground floor of the residence and extensive smoke and water damage to the remainder of the property.
No one was in the residence at the time of the fire and no one was injured during the incident.
At this time it is unknown if the fire is suspicious or not.
