Police are investigating a house fire in which one person is unaccounted for at Harristown overnight, May 7.
Emergency services were initially called around 12:30am to reports the Merritt Street address was on fire.
Upon arrival, the house was fully engulfed; however, the fire has since been extinguished, and a crime scene has been declared.
Initial investigations indicate that six people were able to escape the property following the fire, including a 34-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman, and four children.
The woman and two children have been taken to Toowoomba Hospital with critical injuries. The man was also transported to Toowoomba Hospital with serious injuries.
A fifth child from the address remains unaccounted for at this time.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire, and police are appealing to anyone who may have information or relevant vision to come forward.
