House fire investigation in Boonah, QLD

Police are investigating the cause of a house fire that occurred at a property in Boonah this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

At 1:30pm, police were called to an address on Macquarie Street after flames were seen coming from the rear left corner of the house.

Initial inquiries suggest the fire started in the rear of the home and spread through the house causing it to be engulfed and completely destroyed.

No one was inside the home during the fire.

At this stage, the fire is being treated as non-suspicious while police work to determine the cause.

Investigations are continuing.
