Police are investigating the cause of a house fire that occurred at a property in Holmview last night, Queensland Police say.
At 10:40pm, police and emergency services were called to an address on Coldstream Way after flames were seen coming from the house.
On arrival the premises was fully involved in flames causing significant damage to the building.
Two men were inside the home during the fire, with one unable to get out initially due the intense heat.
The other man with the help of a neighbour managed to break a window and rescue the man from a bedroom.
A 19-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital suffering burns and smoke inhalation.
He remains in a critical condition.
At this stage, police and fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
Investigations are continuing.
