An investigation is underway following a house fire at Petersham, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to Brighton Street about 8.30pm today, where they found a home well alight.
The occupant, a 54-year-old man, made his way out of the house and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.
