Human Remains Found in Murdered Woman Search

Strike Force investigators have located human remains during an operation in Sydney's west as part of the search for a woman allegedly murdered in 2018.

In December 2018, officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command established Strike Force Admirality to investigate the disappearance of 71-year-old Nadire Sensoy from her home in Prospect.

As part of inquiries, strike force detectives made a public for information as well as announced a reward for information in 2020.

On Monday 13 March 2023, a coronial inquest into the woman's death began; however, was suspended soon after due to new information came to light.

Following subsequent further inquiries, on Tuesday 21 March 2023, police arrested a 47-year-old man at Wagga Wagga Police Station.

He was charged with murder (DV) and remains before the courts.

Police will allege in court that the man murdered the 71-year-old woman, who was known to him, between Thursday 6 December 2018 and Tuesday 11 December 2018 in the Blacktown area.

Following extensive inquiries, on Tuesday 9 June 2026, officers attached to Mt Druitt and Blacktown Police Area Commands commenced an ongoing search at a property on Powers Road, Seven Hills.

During the search, officers located human remains yesterday (Thursday 11 June 2026).

The remains will undergo forensic examination to determine the identity of the person; however, police believe they are those of the missing woman.

Police continue to await the outcome of the analysis.

Investigations under Strike Force Admirality are ongoing.
