The Hume City business community has celebrated its night of nights, with innovators, entrepreneurs and visionaries recognised at the 2025 Hume Business Awards on Thursday 30 October.

Reflecting the diversity of Hume's local businesses, Hume City Mayor Jarrod Bell and his councillor colleagues were joined by operators from all corners of industry who were recognised for their economic achievements and contributions.

Major winners on the night included Mark Coleman for Business Leader of the Year and Kingspan Insulation for Business of the Year.

With investment by new businesses into Hume remaining high into 2025, this year's awards were a celebration of the resilience of the local economy, and the 140,000 people Hume businesses employ.

The ongoing strength of the Hume economy is owed to the people who continue to show up and invest locally, and the Hume Business Awards are an opportunity to not only reflect on this achievement, but to look forward at to what's to come.

Council would like to thank our sponsors Amazon, CSL Behring, Integra Systems and Melbourne Airport for their generosity and work to help strengthen our local economy.

We remain committed to supporting business growth and economic inclusion through initiatives like training programs, grants, networking events, visitor economy promotion, planning support, employment services, investment facilitation, and entrepreneur support.

Quotes attributable to Hume City Mayor, Councillor Jarrod Bell:

"In a time where cost-of-living is high and economies are struggling Hume's local economy continues to thrive, and this is thanks to the efforts of our community focussed business leaders and customers.

I'd like to congratulate each and every finalist for the Hume Business Awards. While there can only be one winner for each category these awards are a recognition of the whole community."
