Hydro crop found after house fire near Quakers Hill, NSW

Inquiries are underway after hydroponic cannabis crop was found following a house fire near Quakers Hill overnight, NSW Police say.

Fire & Rescue NSW fire fighters and police from Quakers Hill Local Area Command were called to Crudge Road at Marayong, shortly before 6.30pm today, and found a single-level house alight.

Once the fire was extinguished more than 250 plants were discovered growing in sophisticated indoor enhanced hydroponic system.

A guard has been placed on the premises overnight and the house will be examined by Scene of Crime officers in the morning.

Inquiries are now underway into the identity of those renting the house.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
