Hydro crop found after house fire, NSW

An investigation is underway after a hydroponic cannabis crop was found following a house fire at Harrington Park overnight, NSW Police say.

Fire & Rescue NSW fire fighters and police from Camden Hill Local Area Command were called to Hambledon Circuit, shortly before 9.30pm yesterday, and found a single-level house alight.

Once the fire was extinguished more than 200 plants were discovered growing in sophisticated indoor enhanced hydroponic system in four rooms of the house.

The house sustained only minor damage and no one was injured.

A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.

Inquiries are now underway into the identity of the residents of the house.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
