Mount Waverly police are investigating after a man stole a bottle of vodka from a liquor store in Mulgrave on 27 December, Victoria Police say.
It was reported that the man entered the business, located on Police Road, just after 5pm.
A short time later, the man selected a bottle of vodka and exited the store without making an attempt to pay, running east on Police Road.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian, with a thin build, black hair with a balding patch on top and a beard.
He was also wearing a Furphy’s logo t-shirt, and blue jeans.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe is able to assist with their enquiries.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
