Image of vehicle released following Noble Park stabbing

Police continue to appeal for the public’s help and have released an image of a vehicle leaving the scene of a stabbing in Noble Park that left a man with life-threatening injuries in October last year, Victoria Police say.

The 24-year-old Berwick man was stabbed multiple times and has since been released from hospital after attending a party in Ian Street on Saturday 1 October.

The victim and his four friends were walking to the party when a 1998 dark coloured Holden Commodore sedan with silver rims pulled up next to them about 4am.

Two male offenders, one armed with a knife, got out of the car and approached the group before making threats.

An altercation occurred and the victim was stabbed a number of times to the abdomen and upper leg.

The offenders then fled on foot along Mons Parade before driving off in the Holden Commodore.

Both offenders are perceived to be of African appearance and aged in their 20s.

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and have released an image of one of the men that may be able to assist with their investigation.

A similar image of the Holden Commodore sedan has been released in the hope someone may recognise it.

Investigators are also appealing for an anonymous caller to Crime Stoppers who provided information, to call them back.

Police believe there was a large group of people who witnessed the stabbing and are keen to speak to them.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
