Image released as police investigate armed robbery at Fairfield

Police are appealing for assistance as inquiries continue into an alleged armed robbery in Fairfield earlier this week.

About 7.45pm on Wednesday (12 October 2022), police were called to a service station on The Horsley Drive after reports a man had entered the store with a knife.

It's alleged the man grabbed the 30-year-old attendant and threatened him, before fleeing with cigarettes.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries into the incident continue, detectives have released images of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He's described as being of Caucasian appearance and was wearing a yellow hi-visibility hooded jumper, blue cargo pants, work boots, and was carrying a green shopping bag.
