Image released following break, enter and steal, NSW

Police investigating a break, enter and steal in Sydney's south-west have released an image of a man in an appeal for public assistance.

Between 1pm and 3.20pm on Saturday 5 January 2019, police were called to a home on Barlow Crescent, Canley Heights, following reports of a break and enter.

Jewellery, electronics, credit cards and personal items were stolen from the property.

Following the incident several financial transactions were made at stores in Cabramatta and Liverpool.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command launched an investigation into the incident and have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak too.

The man is depicted as being aged in his 20s or 30s, of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, with a medium build and beard.

He is depicted as wearing dark-coloured shorts, a purple t-shirt with a print on the front and a camouflage-coloured hat.
