IMARC selects new venue to connect our global resources sector

Australia's largest annual mining and resources event returns to Melbourne in 2021, connecting local businesses with global opportunities and further cementing Victoria's reputation as a global mining hub.

Following the success of IMARC Online in 2020, the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds for the first time from 25 to 27 October 2021.

The Showgrounds provides a unique environment that will allow organisers to plan for social distancing and for the first time allows IMARC to include an outdoor exhibition space into its program. This will also allow attendees to interact with a more diverse range of larger equipment than ever before.

As Australia's premier mining event, IMARC attracts global leaders in mining, investment and technology, presenting opportunities to showcase Victoria's booming resources sector and its innovative mining support and services sector during four days of learning, deal-making and unparalleled networking.

Minerals exploration spending in Victoria has grown - according to Australian Bureau of Statistics data expenditure increased by a third in 2019-20 compared to the previous year. Over the same period, gold mining expenditure also increased by a third and gold production by nearly forty per cent.

To keep this momentum going, it is more important than ever for Victoria's resources sector to connect globally to share knowledge that could result in business opportunities and local.
