Police are asking vehicles attempting to leave flooded areas via Rooneys Bridge/Abbots Street in Railway Estate to turn around and use Lakeside Drive to get to higher ground.
Travel to the city is NOT accessible via this route.
There is significant traffic congestion in the area as a result.
