Improving Bayside's Future

Bayside Council is asking residents to have their say on its long-term financial future.

"The Delivery Program and Operational Plan currently on exhibition outline the challenges ahead," Mayor Joe Awada said.

"I encourage all residents to have their say on these draft documents. With your input we can work together to ensure our long-term financial sustainability for current and future generations."

Bayside Council's Delivery Program and Operational Plan are currently on exhibition and council needs local feedback and input on addressing the financial challenges ahead.

Future population growth, environmental impact, amalgamation, new technologies, uncertain economies, contingency planning for unforeseen events like COVID-19, rising costs of goods and services, ageing, renewing, and maintaining assets all place significant financial pressure on Council.

The plans currently on exhibition outline these challenges including potential options to address financial challenges.

Submissions close on Monday 24 May 2021.
