Help shape a more accessible and connected city by nominating to join Townsville City Council's Inclusive Communities Advisory Committee.
Council is calling for expressions of interest from a variety of Townsville residents with diverse voices and lived experiences to help shape social planning and community development across the city.
Committee chairperson Vera Dirou said committee members would help shape decisions to make Townsville a more inclusive community.
"Members of the Inclusive Communities Advisory Committee will collaborate with Council to provide advice on policies and initiatives that influence Townsville's future, making sure nobody is left behind in the decision making," Cr Dirou said.
"This committee is one of the ways Council is maintaining its commitment to growing Townsville as an inclusive, accessible and liveable city."
Cr Dirou said being part of the committee was a meaningful way to help shape the future of Townsville.
"This is a role where you'll be able to share your perspective and contribute to beneficial long-term change in our community," she said.
"If you think you could contribute to help us foster change and inclusivity in Townsville, head to Council's website and put forward your expression of interest."
