Fair Work Commission
From 1 July 2026 the application fee will increase to $92.70.
The change to the fee applies to the following applications under the Fair Work Act 2009 :
- general protections dismissal disputes
- general protections non-dismissal disputes
- unfair dismissal remedies
- unlawful termination disputes
- orders to stop bullying
- unfair contract remedies, and
- unfair deactivation or unfair termination remedies.
High income threshold
The high income threshold in unfair dismissal cases will increase to $190,100 for dismissals occurring on or after 1 July 2026.
Contractor high income threshold
Also effective from 1 July 2026, the contractor high income threshold will increase to $190,100.
Compensation cap
The compensation cap in unfair dismissal cases and for unfair termination of a person by a road transport business will be $95,050 for dismissals occurring on or after 1 July 2026.
