Information caravan set up following Bendigo sexual assault

Sexual Crime Squad detectives will set up an information caravan today and appeal for public assistance after a woman was sexually assaulted in the Bendigo suburb of Kennington last Friday., Victoria Police say

The 37-year-old woman pulled over to use the public toilets at Kennington Reservoir on Reservoir Road about 11am.

When the woman entered the toilets she was confronted by a man who has sexually assaulted her before leaving.

It’s not known whether the man left the area on foot or by vehicle.

The man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged between 30-40, about 175cm tall, with an olive complexion, brown hair, unshaven face and was wearing a navy blue windcheater and jeans.

Investigators have released a computer generated image of a man that may assist with their enquiries.

The information caravan will be set up near the public toilets from 10am to 2pm and detectives will be handing out flyers.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed any suspicious behaviour or a man fitting the description.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have been parked in the car park or anyone that may have a dash cam and passed the reservoir at the time of the incident.
