Inquiries are continuing after the death of a bicycle rider on the Central Coast this afternoon (Monday 8 January 2018), NSW Police say.
Just after 4pm, a man believed to be aged in his 50s was riding his bicycle on a footpath across the Brian McGowan Bridge on the Central Coast Highway at Gosford.
The man has fallen from the bike and onto the footpath. Witnesses flagged down a passing police car.
Despite the efforts of emergency services at the scene, the man was unable to be revived
Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner. Investigators will also examine the man’s medical history as a part of their inquiries.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
