Inquiries underway after motorcyclist seriously injured near Sydney Harbour Tunnel

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to find out how a motorcyclist came to be seriously injured near the northern entrance to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel this afternoon.

Just after 3.15pm (Saturday 21 November 2020), emergency services were called to the southbound lanes of the Warringah Freeway, and found a motorcyclist suffering multiple injuries.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene and transported the man – believed to be aged in his late 20s – to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command are appealing for the drivers of a white 4WD with silver tray, and a grey Lamborghini, who may have been in the vicinity of the motorcyclist, to come forward and assist with their investigations.

Witnesses have told police the drivers stopped to check on the injured man then left.

The Crash Investigation Unit is on scene.
