Inquiries continue after death of child in Miller

A report is being prepared for the Coroner after the body of a two-year-girl was found in a south- western Sydney house this afternoon, NSW Police say.

Just after 12pm today, emergency services were called to a home on Merino Street in Miller following concerns were raised for the occupants by a family friend.

On arrival, officers located the body of a two-year old girl inside the house.

A post mortem examination will officially determine how the child died.

The results of the post mortem examination will assist in determining the direction of future inquiries.

Detectives from Green Valley Local Area Command will speak with the child’s relatives and neighbours in an effort to determine the chain of events leading to the child’s death.

A crime scene has been established at the house and investigations are underway.
