Interstate pair arrested in South Australia as part of Operation Roam

Two people have been arrested in South Australia as part of the National Operation Roam week-long crackdown in to locating wanted serious offenders, according to SA Police.

Just before 3.50pm today, Monday 21 August, police received information that a man and a woman wanted for serious offences in Queensland had been sighted at Hyde Park.

Sturt CIB investigators attended and arrested the pair, a 41-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman who have been charged with interstate warrants for drug offending.

Police searched the man and woman’s Goodwood home where they will allege they located a large commercial quantity of the controlled drug Pilocybin.

The man and woman have now been charged for trafficking in a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and refused bail. They will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Sturt CIB and the Serious and Organised Crime Branch are continuing investigations.
