Police have charged a 36-year-old Invermay man with multiple firearms and property related offences following a search at Invermay today.
About 10am, police conducted a search at an Invermay residence and allegedly located several gel blaster imitation firearms. Also located was a significant quantity of allegedly stolen property, which was predominantly battery powered tools, allegedly linked to recent incidents in the Launceston area.
The man was detained to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
Anyone with information relating to the stolen property is asked to contact police on 131 444, or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au.
