Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Endeavour Hills last night.
Emergency services were called to Calrossie Close about 7.50pm after reports that a man had been critically injured.
On arrival police located a deceased man.
A 22-year-old man was arrested by police a short time later.
He was taken to hospital under police guard following a medical episode.
The exact circumstances surrounding the man's death are yet to be determined but Homicide Squad detectives are on scene and investigating.
Police are also investigating reports that a gunshot was heard in the vicinity prior to the incident.
Police do not believe this is a random attack and there is no ongoing risk to the community.
