Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Werribee early this morning, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to Taworri Crescent about 7.30am.
The victim, a 69-year-old Werribee woman was located deceased at the scene.
A 38-year-old Werribee man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
The investigation is ongoing.
