Investigation into Carlton shooting continues

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released an image of a vehicle they wish to identify as part of their investigation into a firearms incident in Carlton in December last year, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a number of shots were fired at the property on Swanston Street just after 3am on 21 December.

The front door of an office was shattered during the incident, however no one was injured.

Investigators wish to identify a silver Holden Trax sports utility, believed to be a 2013 or 2014 model, which was in the area at the time.

The vehicle’s registration plates, 1GK6YB, are believed to have been stolen from an address in Carlton in December 2016 and remain outstanding.

Police are urging anyone with information relating to the incident or the vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers.
