Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a woman’s body was discovered at a residence in Corio last night, Victoria Police say.
Police were called to an address in Matthews Road about 10pm after reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Emergency services attended the address but could not revive the woman.
A number of people who were at the address are currently assisting police with their enquires.
The exact circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are yet to be established.
