Police are appealing for information after a body was located near Tweed Heads this morning, NSW Police say.
Just before 7.30am today, emergency services were called to Pollards Road, Dulguigan, following reports of a fire.
Police from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command attended and located a burnt body.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.
The identity of the person is not yet known.
Detectives from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command and the Homicide Squad are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, which is being treated as suspicious.
