A man is in a critical condition following a stabbing at Bossley Park.
Emergency services were called to a hair salon on Mimosa Road about 12.40pm (Friday 11 January 2019), where they found a man with a stab wound to his upper body.
The 20-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he is undergoing emergency surgery.
Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Police are treating the incident as targeted.
No arrests have been made at this time.
