Police are investigating after a shot was fired in the Lake Illawarra region, NSW Police say.
About 3.45pm yesterday (Monday 9 April 2018), police have been told a man fired a shot from inside a 4WD in Northcliffe Drive, Berkeley. It struck the front passenger door of the vehicle.
An 18-year-old woman standing nearby was not injured.
The car fled the scene and was last seen travelling west on Northcliffe Drive.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Initial inquiries suggest the shooting was targeted.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
