Investigations commence after two men were stabbed during brawl in Wentworthville

Police are investigating after two men were stabbed during a brawl in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Just after 11.30pm today, emergency services were called to Dunmore Street, Wentworthville, following reports of a brawl.

Police have been told two men, aged 20 and 22, were stabbed during the brawl.

The 22-year-old man presented at Westmead Hospital with stab wounds to his back, where he underwent surgery and remains in a stable condition.

The 20-year-old man boarded a train to Toongabbie were NSW Ambulance paramedics were alerted. He was treated at Toongabbie Railway Station for a stab wound to his back and taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Holroyd Local Area Command, with assistance from Parramatta Local Area Command and Police Transport Command, have established crime scenes, including a train which has been stopped at Riverstone.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident have commenced.
